D-Day: Tonka Trucks Gone Wild!

After months of planning and paperwork with the city, the demolition finally started! The weather took a turn for the worse of course, and last night we received a hard frost that left everything covered in a fine layer of ice.

Recipe for Demolition:
Step One:
Knock a hole in the garage.
Step Two: Find a big fork truck that can rip a larger hole.
Step Three: Make a larger hole. Step Four: Repeat

By the end of the day, the garage was completely leveled and two dumpsters of debris were hauled away. Tomorrow some cement work will be done, and Friday the new walls will be constructed. Next week, the upper level roof will be removed Monday and Tuesday, and hopefully, the new one will be installed by Friday. Since this isn't challenging enough, we will also be removing and replacing the furnace and air conditioners Wednesday and Thursday.

Beebe Lake Almanac

It's 40 degrees and partly cloudy. Perfect weather for ice fishing on the lake. Current house count: 38. Lots of dogs, four wheelers, and trucks as well.

Nice sunset.

Josie's Return to the Dog Park

Since it was so nice yesterday, we thought it was a good time to see if Josie had the stamina to walk the dog park. She has not been there since her amputation in October, and the most she's walked is a half a block up the road.

Josie calls shotgun.

Striking a pose.

As usual, she surprised us with her energy and enthusiasm, and made it a half-a-loop around the dog park before getting tired. Not bad for an almost-thirteen year old, three-legged dog!
